BostonCoach is looking for a Director of Human Resources to facilitate the planning, design, implementation and administration of compensation programs that attract, retain, motivate and reward employees while ensuring internal equity, external competitiveness and legal compliance.
Located at our headquarters in Everett, MA, this position will report to the Vice President of Human Resources and is a great opportunity to work with a dynamic team who has a focus on serving our internal and external clients. BostonCoach, a Fidelity Investments company, is a premier worldwide provider of executive sedan, shuttle and event transportation services.
Primary Responsibilities Hands-on analysis, development, installation and administration for all dimensions of compensation base, annual and quarterly bonus, commissions, non-exempt and exempt incentive plans, annual merit and bonus cycles Maintains current job descriptions, salary grades, and the integrity of the compensation structure Ensures fair and consistent application of HR policies and practices Serves as the benefits, payroll, HRIS, HR operations and compensation liaison with Fidelity; Responsible for HR operations and HRIS reporting, auditing, security and legal Identifies ways to improve the delivery of HR services in the company and makes appropriate recommendations within the HR Department Consults with appropriate management team members to research and evaluate organizational needs within BostonCoach and identify potential solutions Works with internal (Fidelity) compensation practice group and potentially external compensation companies in order to gather competitive marketplace benchmarking data Manages the annual sales compensation process and monitors commission payments during the year Provides total compensation market analysis of positions and provides pay/incentive/grade recommendations Researches and analyzes data and prepares adhoc reports as needed for management Plans, develops and implements job descriptions, compensation policies and procedures in order to be responsive to company goals and competitive practices Manages the annual bonus, merit and incentive processes Ensures organization compliance with applicable human resource related statutes and regulations (including wage and hour) as well as BostonCoachs internal policies and procedures Provides employee relations, leave administration and benefits support to HR team and employees when needed Lives and promotes the corporate values throughout the company Others duties as assigned
Education and Experience Minimum of 10 years of Human Resources experience 5+ years of compensation experience preferably as a Comp Analyst for an operating business Bachelors degree; PHR preferred CCP certification or progress toward certification strongly preferred Proven successful implementation of HR programs and knowledge of broader functional areas in HR Employee relations and Leave administration experience a plus
Skills and Knowledge Expert knowledge of state and federal employment law Strong compensation and analytics skills Proficiency with MS Office Suite and expertise in Excel Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with ability to present all levels within the organization Strong organizational, administrative, development and implementation skills Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adjust to changing priorities Must have a high level of professionalism and integrity with the ability to maintain confidentiality
